Tools: calculator and Scout
The turnkey cost calculator and Scout source health in the Desk menu.
The Desk menu has two tools, separate from the 13 sections.
Turnkey cost calculator
Available Route in Desk: /pricing-playground
Route /pricing-playground. This is the reference calculator of the core (@core/pricing): a full calculation with an explanation of every item, rate sources and warnings. The site calculator, the Margin extension and the API are checked against these numbers.
What you enter:
- Lot and auction: lot price in USD, auction (Copart, IAAI, Manheim, other), bid channel, title type, auction payment.
- Car: VIN, year, fuel, engine displacement (or battery for an EV), body, damage, CO₂, mass, power, gearbox, US origin (for the preferential EU duty), right-hand drive.
- Route: from (yard, ZIP, state, port) and to (country, city or port).
- Fee and options: a fixed amount or a percentage (with a minimum), insurance, shipping type, certification, repair, registration, result currency, calculation date.
What you get: an item breakdown, each with an explanation, formula and source, a flag for unverified rates (verified: false), a country comparison, the rules applied and JSON. Company tariffs in the calculator are In development: typical ones apply for now.
Scout: source health

Route /scout. View only: the state of the listing sources Scout collects offers from.

We do not bypass blocked sources. They are flagged with a reason and do not break the search. Copart and IAAI data arrive through the broker's extension (their own session) or licensed APIs.
Search in Desk (sourcing requests) is In development, while from outside the same Scout is available through the API.
